The Mercedes-AMG G63 4×4 Squared is a unique and capable SUV that stands out for its off-road prowess, high performance, unique styling, and luxury features. It’s a vehicle that combines the best of both worlds in its own unique way, such as the ruggedness of an off-roader and the refinement of an iconic luxury SUV.
Now, add to these the expertise of Brabus in tuning, and it stands out even more. Here are the key features of its new package for the most powerful variant of the G-Class 4×4 Squared:
Off-Road Capabilities
The G-Class 4×4 Squared is designed to excel in off-road conditions. Its four-wheel drive system, locking differentials, and portal axles give it exceptional traction and ground clearance, allowing it to tackle steep hills, deep mud, and rocky terrain with ease. The AMG variant raises the bar with a higher ground clearance measuring up to 13.8 inches and better approach and departure angles at 41.3 and 36.8 degrees, respectively.
Brabus adds its special touch to enhance the off-road equipment of the SUV by fitting it with its signature Monoblock HD forged wheels finished in matte black. The auto also includes a cable winch for getting it out of tough situations and a roof rack for extra cargo, which both come from the Adventure package of the German tuner.
Design
The AMG G63 4×4 Squared has a distinctive look that sets it apart from other SUVs. It takes from the boxy, rugged shape of the G-Wagen that gives it a mix of classic and modern looks.
The Widebody kit of Brabus makes it more muscular and imposing with its wider fender flares. It also equips the vehicle with other new pieces of equipment, including a front radiator grille, twin-vented hood scoop, LED light bars on the roof, front lip spoiler, and spare wheel holder. Most of the elements mentioned possess carbon fiber inserts to minimize the weight gain from all the upgrades and boost the overall appeal of the G-Wagen.
Interior Elements
The limit for the personalization options available for the cabin of the Brabus AMG G63 goes as far as the budget of the customer allows it. The standard build of the tuner includes upholstery clad in leather/Alcantara complete with special quilting and piping.
Moreover, aluminum/carbon trims can be applied to the cockpit for further customization. These are integrated with the shift paddles, foot pedals, and door sills. LED backlights are added to some of the strategically-placed “B” logos for extra visual effects, too.
Meanwhile, the rear bench seat of the G-Class is replaced with individual seats that come with Brabus’ Business Middle Console for the extra convenience of the passengers situated there.
Power
The AMG G63 is powered by a high-performance engine that delivers plenty of power and torque. It has a 4.0-liter V8 engine that produces 585 horsepower and 620 lb-ft of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 3.9 seconds and max out at 137 mph.
The B40-700 and B40S-800 tuning packages of Brabus set the numbers up to 691 hp and 701 lb-ft of torque and 789 hp and 737 lb-ft of torque, respectively. The acceleration details of the kits are not yet known, but it should be able to shave off milliseconds compared to the stock version of the G-Wagen.
Pricing
Brabus didn’t publicly disclose the pricing of its new tuning package for the Mercedes-AMG G63 4×4 Squared. Therefore, interested customers will have to personally contact them about it.
As a reminder though, the price of the SUV’s stock version starts at $349,000. So, there’s a possibility that the installation of all the bells and whistles offered by Brabus in its latest tuning package could drive up its cost by over half a million.
