Mercedes-AMG G 63 Gets Minty Makeover from Carlex

As imposing as it is appealing, the Mercedes-AMG G63 certainly commands a huge presence whether it is being driven on- and off-road or it is just sitting in a parking lot. Recently, Carlex Design unveiled its new project involving the high-performance G-Class to further enhance its appeal thru a minty makeover in and out.

Carlex, the Polish tuner that notably brought us a yacht-inspired AMG G63 a couple of years ago, aptly baptized its new creation as the Mint&Gold Edition. As it says, it gets plenty of mint green in its exterior and interior plus a gold finish highlighting the iconic SUV’s massive 23-inch wheels. Alongside the cool aura are the front grille and spare wheel cover clad in carbon fiber. Special badges from the specialist also adorn the key areas of the auto.

Getting inside reveals a luscious interior with mint green dominating the cabin. This is complemented by new seats, a dashboard, door panels, and a steering wheel wrapped in mint green leather plus Alcantara embellishing the headliner and pillars.

This dramatic upgrade to the AMG G 63 can be yours for a staggering €51,000 ($53,803 in prevailing exchange rates). Yes, that’s enough to buy you a Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe in the U.S.

Seeing that the AMG G 63 is already high on performance, Carlex left the stock 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 of the SUV untouched. For the record, the configuration of the power unit is good for 577 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque, which lets it rip from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds with its speed topping at 149 mph.
