Jeremy Clarkson, the former host of BBC’s Top Gear, broke a sad news to Twitter a couple days ago. In his tweet, he stated that he just sold his Mercedes CLK63 AMG Black Series.
The tweet of the former car show host was met with mixed reactions. A number of people expressed their dismay and sympathized with him. Others gave him some heat related to his dismissal from the show and for being unemployed. However, the best response came from his colleague Richard Hammond.
No matter what the reason of Clarkson is about selling his CLK63 AMG Black, it sure is such a loss to see a magnificent car go. The car personifies elegance, power and performance in its stride, so it is really hard to say goodbye to it.
The car is riddled with carbon fiber materials in its exterior and interior, making it very light. Then going under the hood of the car will reveal a 6.2-liter V8 engine crafted my AMG enabling the auto to produce up to 507 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque. These numbers translate to a sprint from zero to 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds while the top speed of the vehicle is electronically-limited at 186 mph.
Well, some good things really have to come to an end at some point.
