INKAS Reveals Its Armored 2016 Mercedes-Maybach S600

2016 Mercedes-Maybach S600 (1)
Don’t let the looks of this 2016 Mercedes-Maybach S600 fool you. This actually possesses a high level of ballistic protection, thanks to the enhanced armoring provided by INKAS.

Inkas, the world renowned maker of armored vehicles, just announced a new addition to its Mercedes-Benz product range. Recently, the company revealed its new armored sedan based on the 2016 Mercedes-Maybach S600. The Toronto-based firm claimed it is the first manufacturer in the world to make an armored unit out of the said model.

Outside, the car retains the same luxurious and stylish appearance of the Mercedes-Maybach S600. Nothing in the signature look of the car was sacrificed during its transformation to an armored unit. That means, one can easily mistake the auto as a standard Mercedes-Maybach, and this will also allow it to blend well with other vehicles in the road.

However, the Mercedes-Maybach S600 now possesses a harder shell with CEN 1063 BR7 rating. That means it can withstand several shots even from a firearm that uses full jacket, pointed bullet, or hard core 7.62×51 mm NATO rounds.

For extra security measures, the car gets run-flat tires, smoke screen system, and fire suppression system. A fully-functional transparent glass with ballistic protection is installed for its windows too.

The Inkas armored 2016 Mercedes-Maybach S600 comes with a $500,000 price tag. Buyers can opt to have the model delivered by the company’s ambassador who will then offer a thorough on-site orientation as well as evasive driving course.
