Hartmann Tuning recently revealed its new work involving the Mercedes-Benz V-Class. According to WCF, the kit offered by the German tuner for the V250 gives the van more power in its engine. It also comes with subtle aero enhancements.
The 2.1-liter turbodiesel four-cylinder engine of the Mercedes-Benz V250 originally produces up to 190 PS and 440 Nm of torque. But after Hartmann installed its Power V25 chip in the van, the output has been jacked up to 224 PS with 505 Nm of torque.
There was no mention about the performance figures resulting from the tuning of the V-Class. The source reminds us though that the standard V250 can sprint from zero to 62 mph in 9.1 seconds. It should be noted that the 4MATIC variant has an acceleration from zero to 62 mph in 10.6 seconds. The top speed of the standard model is at 128 mph while the 4MATIC version is 124 mph. The upgrade should somehow provide the van a small millisecond boost in acceleration.
Aside from the power upgrade, Hartmann equipped the V-Class with a sound generator for extra effects in the cabin. With a push of a button, it gives the impression of a strong engine noise being emitted by the van.
Outside, some aerodynamic components were added from ABS, and everything was topped off with VEST-1 alloy wheels plus matching 245/45 tires. The suspension has been lowered by 30 mm too for extra stability on the road.
