New spy shots reveal that Mercedes-Benz is working on a facelifted model of the CLA. Based from the pictures provided by Autoblog, the changes will only be subtle though.
It hasn’t been that long ago since the Mercedes-Benz CLA was released. The compact sedan only came into production in 2013 after its prototype was introduced with much fanfare back in 2012.
The compact four-door was considered to be the best launch of its brand when it hit the market due to a very high demand for it. In fact, the orders for the car was such that its maker even had trouble keeping up the supply.
Looking at the leaked spy photos taken in Germany, only the front tip of the car had been covered in a black camouflage. The hidden portions indicate the locations of the revisions. So far, we are only seeing a possible upgrade in its bumper and grille. Everything is pretty similar to the updates in the A-Class.
It is likely that the CLA will get the same treatment with the A-Class under its hood. The AMG model of the auto is expected to carry the new 381 hp with 350 lb-ft torque 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder power unit of the Mercedes-AMG A45.
While it is hard to make out the interior features of the car in the pictures. Look forward to new leather and upholstery within that area, which is again similar to the A-Class.
The source said the facelifted Mercedes-Benz CLA might debut early next year as a 2017 model.
