Facelifted Mercedes-Benz B-Class Minivan Launched

The Mercedes-Benz B-Class just received a facelift for the 2023 model year. The updates include a slight revision on the exterior, significant upgrades on the cockpit, and some powertrain changes.

Exterior

The appearance of the facelifted Mercedes-Benz B-Class is almost the same as its predecessor at a glance, so you will have to look closely to see the differences. With that, to keep the new model of the minivan distinct from the outgoing model, Mercedes gave it a “dynamic boost” consisting of the new front fascia, front bumper, front grille, LED lights in place of the headlamps, two-part LED taillights with subtle spoilers on each side window, and 19-inch wheels.

Interior

It’s in the interior where the 2023 Mercedes-Benz B-Class truly stands out though. It comes with a seven-inch digital instrument cluster that can be optionally upgraded to 10.25 inches, and a standard 10.25-inch infotainment display in the central dash. Further elevating its interior is the addition of a new flat-bottom steering wheel, the removal of the infotainment display’s rotary controller on the center console, and an enhanced MBUX infotainment system.

The improved MBUX comes with a fingerprint reader, a better “Hey Mercedes” voice assistant, and three new display types named Classic, Sport, and Discreet. Likewise, the Driver Assistance Package includes new upgrades in its Lane Keeping Assist, Active Steering Control, and optional Trailer Maneuvering Assist.

It’s worth mentioning also that 100 percent recycled materials are incorporated into the van’s upholstery for a more environmentally-friendly design.

Power

As for the powertrains, the facelifted Mercedes-Benz B-Class is going to be offered in eight trims. These include petrol, diesel, and plug-in hybrid versions with outputs ranging from 136 to 224 hp and 230 to 400 Nm of torque.
