The popularity of cars built by Mercedes-Benz has reached a level where people like to create their own Lego models of them. The Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing is one of the latest luxury vehicles to be turned into a Lego model, as shown on an autoevolution.com report.
The creator of the Lego model was quite creative and committed as it closely resembled the actual Gullwing. It was probably the closest one can create with a sufficient number of plastic bricks at one’s disposal.
The Lego Gullwing model had all the features right, from its hood, round headlights, suitable grille, and the iconic gullwing doors. The exterior used gray Lego bricks since there are no silver-colored Lego bricks. Coupled with the red-colored interior, the Lego Gullwing model was definitely the closest one can get to the legendary luxury vehicle.
The Mercedes-Benz logo on the Lego model used a steering wheel that came from regular Lego sets and not the Technic sets. Another thing to take note of the model was the awkward appearance of the headlights. It looked like a confused chameleon whose eyes were about to pop out. Despite these somewhat subtle details that may require some improvement, it is still a cool Lego model. Its components are functional, including the hood, steering, brakes, and the gullwing itself.
This Lego model of the Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing has its own four-speed gearbox that allows it to run at 3 km/h or around 2 mph.
