Lorinser truly stood out among the many car tuners who participated in the 2014 Essen Motor Show. The German company showcased its modified Mercedes-Benz CLS during that time, and it also featured its work for the S-Class.
It should be noted that Lorinser already debuted its package for the Mercedes-Benz S-Class last year, particularly for the S500 variant. However, the tuner took the opportunity once more to promote its customization kit for the flagship car of the three-pointed star marque in the prestigious gathering in Essen.
As a recap for those who can no longer recall the specifics of the tuning kit or for people who haven’t heard of the current package of Lorinser for the S-Class, the product focused on offering visual, aerodynamic, and performance upgrades to the luxury vehicle.
Included in the body kit of the Lorinser Mercedes-Benz S-Class are new set of wheels, bumpers, air intakes, splitter, side skirts, diffuser, bootlid spoiler, a pair of twin exhaust pipes, air vents for the brakes, and redesigned grille. Then, located in the central portion of the restyled grille is the unique badge of the tuner, which replaces the Mercedes logo.
Beneath the hood of the Lorinser Mercedes-Benz S500 is the usual 4.6-liter biturbo V8 engine. However, the tuner tweaked it a bit to let the auto achieve a kick of up to 530 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. The performance enhancements enable the car to reach 100 km/h from a standstill in only 4.8 seconds. Its top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.
