However, it is heavily based on the Mercedes-Benz S580e. The plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) is powered by a powerful inline-six engine and it’s complemented by a vast array of luxury elements. The Maybach S580e may be the production version of the Vision 6 but it shed some of the impractical styling elements of the concept in favor of optimization in performance, styling, utility, and safety. Renntech Gives the 1992 Mercedes-Benz S-Class a Restomod

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class has undergone a lot of transformations and name changes over seven generations. However, one thing’s for sure, it remains the flagship car of the three-pointed star marque. Like its predecessors, the 1992 Mercedes-Benz 600 SEL S76R (W140) is an overengineered car packing a lot of advanced tech for its time. While its beauty has remained timeless, most of its tech has aged poorly though, and that is where the new restomod program of Renntech definitely fits in. The project of the Florida-based tuner includes a series of performance and design enhancements for the 1992 S-Class to retain its beauty while making it at par with the modern… Continue Reading »

This Mercedes-Benz S-Class has Completely Turned to the Dark Side

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is already a standout as it is. And sometimes, giving it a custom look either makes it or breaks it. Unfortunately, many tuners often head out for the latter, especially if the modifications are deemed too excessive and not done in a tasteful manner. That’s not the case with this one though. Recently, the platinum_group on Instagram shared their new project based on the 2022 Mercedes-Benz S580. It features an all-dark, sinister-looking body kit that includes a black satin finish with matching heavily-tinted windows. The mods also include the custom front grille, front lip spoiler, huge air intakes on the front bumpers, side skirts, subtle duck-tail spoiler… Continue Reading »
