A new variant of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class was recently spotted. Based on the spy photos provided by Carscoops, the car is the estate version of the model.
According to the source, the car is not just the standard model of the E-Class station wagon. Its features suggest that it is the 2017 Mercedes-AMG E63 Estate. The report said that the shots were taken while the camouflaged auto was being unloaded from a transport truck.
Despite the heavy zebra camo of the vehicle, its features indicate it is using the new E-Class platform. Then its rear hatch gives it away as its estate version. Next, the bulges hint that it has received a couple of modifications from Mercedes-AMG. Among the changes observed in the spy shots of the new Mercedes-AMG E63 Estate can be seen in the car’s bumpers, air intakes, grille, wheel arches, side skirts, diffuser, tailpipes, wheels as well as tires.
The Mercedes-AMG E63 Estate is expected to carry the engine of its sedan counterpart. That is the handcrafted AMG 4.0-liter biturbo V8 petrol engine. With that, look forward to around 550 hp from the E63 Estate while its S model will likely produce more than 600 hp.
Furthermore, the post speculated that the car will possibly be offered in rear-wheel and 4MATIC. It added that it might also be offered with a nine-speed automatic gearbox.
Lastly, the source predicted that the upcoming Mercedes-AMG E63 Estate will most probably be launched at the Paris Auto Show late this year.
