A video showing the Brabus 850 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe as it was going through road testing emerged recently, as shown on a report from gtspirit.com.
The Brabus-tuned S63 AMG Coupe went through careful testing to check its performance, visual and aerodynamic enhancements. This is what sets this aftermarket tuning specialist apart from its rivals in the industry. Due to this, Brabus has become the secondary tuner for Mercedes-Benz after AMG, which also provides numerous enhancements on its luxury vehicles.
It was necessary for Brabus to install a new crankshaft into the S63 AMG to come up with the 850. The new crankshaft features a longer stroke and a bigger cylinder bore along with large-sized forged pistons. This enhancement increased its displacement to 6.0 liters from the 5.5 liters of the standard model of the luxury vehicle. Larger turbochargers featuring modified exhaust manifolds were also installed into the vehicle.
The powerful sound produced by the Brabus 850 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe is the result of the installation of the sports exhaust system from Brabus and special metal catalysts featuring 75-millimeter down pipes. Gold Heat Reflection sheathing and a new intake module were also installed by Brabus for the charge and intake air pipes. The injection and ignition were also enhanced by adding a new ECU module into the luxury coupe.
These enhancements on the Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe increased its power output to 850HP at 5400 rpm while its torque also increased to 1450 Nm.
