Hamilton gives up podium spot for Bottas as Ferrari takes 1-2 at Hungarian GP
Heading into the summer break, Lewis Hamilton would find himself still trailing in the Formula 1 championship race. The Ferrari duo of Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen took care of business, taking a 1-2 finish at the 2017 Hungarian GP, allowing Vettel to take a 14-point lead heading into the month-long break in Formula One action. A surging Hamilton asked the team to pass teammate Valtteri Bottas in order to chase down the leading Ferrari cars, but he promisede to give back the spot if he failed to overtake.
