Mercedes-Benz Expands US Charging Network With Simon Partnership

Under a new partnership, Mercedes-Benz is set to establish nationwide fast-charging stations at locations managed by the largest shopping center developer in America, Simon Property Group. Initially hitting up 55 locations across North America, these eco-friendly charging ports will be powered exclusively by renewable energy.

Powering E-Vehicles Conveniently

According to InsideEVs, these chargers aim not just for high power outputs of up to an impressive 400 kilowatts but also pledge user convenience and engaging experiences as customers can go about their errands while juicing their vehicles. The specifics on architectural layout and other technicalities remain under wraps to this date though.

Transformative Plan Towards EV Accessibility

Emulating Tesla’s model further activates the strategy of making electric vehicle (EV) use more accessible and stimulating for all users including non-Mercedes models from day one of implementation; thus, revolutionizing charging beyond mere necessity into enthralling eventfulness akin within Los Angeles’s Hollywood area supercharger station setup integrated amenities such as retro diners and drive-in theaters.

Expanding Charging Infrastructure Footprint 

Looking ahead towards a significant expansion, Mercedes-Benz envisions installing 500 charging hubs within the North American boundaries over a span of roughly five years. The ultimate goal is to erect more than 10,000 fast-charging points globally by 2030.
