delta4x4 Transforms the Mercedes-Benz G400d To 4×4 Squared

Giancarlo Perlas November 2, 2023

The last time we saw delta4x4’s Mercedes-Benz G400d project, it’s still a work in progress. Recently, new details have surfaced displaying the AMG-fied look of the auto with 4×42 specs.

Introducing the delta4x4 G400d 4×42

The G400d build of the Mercedes tuner caters to customers who either have no access to the G500 4×4 Squared or those who already own the diesel-fed G-Class. Early on, the modified SUV was previewed with the same Panamericana front grille usually reserved for the AMG range of the Gelandewagen.

The vertical louvers of the fascia plus the logo and bumpers of the iconic SUV are all clad in black, matching the body paint of the vehicle. The same patina is also applied to the protruded fenders, the added bull bar, the roof-mounted bed rack, and the body lines that used to be highlighted in chrome.

In addition, the delta4x4 comes with LED roof lighting and darkly-coated 22×10.5-inch wheels hugged by bulky tires. And topping the icing are the suspension upgrades featuring a lift kit that elevates the car by 150mm.

The delta4x4 G400d Update

This time, the diesel-chugging G-Class is glazed in velvety red with updates on the choice of tires. According to Pistonheads that now refers to the unit as the “Hoch D”, the radiating G400d is further modded to showcase 80mm wheel arch extensions and burly 345/55 R22 rubber wrapping the 22-inch rims. Speaking of the tires, they can be had in Yokohama, Cooper, BF Goodrich, or Mickey Thompson.

The result of all the mentioned customizations is a hulked-up G-Wagen with an elevation of 300mm from the ground and with departure angle of 35 degrees.

Final Thoughts

The end game of delta4x4 features an AMG-like G400d resembling the G500 4×42 sans the signature portal axle.

The tuner didn’t release the pricing of their work. So, those who are interested to get a quotation from them can just contact their website directly for info.
