New Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV Spy Shots Are Out

Spy shots of the new Mercedes-Benz GLC sport utility vehicle are out. The 2022 model of the series was recently spotted making its rounds in Scandinavia for its winter testing phase.

The latest spy shots of Carscoops show the prototype in full camouflage. However, the outline of the SUV appears to have a major overhaul in design.

The images hint at a more conventional front bumper, new headlamps, and the same round taillights on the auto. It also comes with a more aggressive hood, but it could only be due to the padding in that area that intends to hide its true form. Moreover, it looks like the GLC gained a longer wheelbase, which means it might be getting more legroom inside, especially for the rear passengers.

For now, details about the upcoming GLC are scarce but what we do know is that it will share the same platform as the next-generation C-Class. It will get the same level of interior design and technology as its sedan sibling too. With that, among its key highlights will include the latest MBUX infotainment system.

In addition, the new models in the lineup are expected to feature mild-hybrid petrol and diesel units. Meanwhile, the full-electric version of the vehicle will probably be reserved for the next EQC series.

The most powerful variant of the range will likely be the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63. The upcoming model might ditch its present version’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 in exchange for the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric boost. The new setup is rumored to get up to 500 hp output.
