Mercedes-Benz Minibus Sprinter City 75 Takes On Germany Roads

The latest generation Sprinter City 75 is making its way down German roads. They will soon be available for use in Göppingen and the surrounding area on regular-service bus routes. The buses will work in the urban traffic of Göppingen because regular large buses will not fit the tight dimensions of the town’s center.
Rolf Grüb, Sales for Mercedes-Benz Buses, and Max Witzel, Head of Sales for Mercedes-Benz Minibuses, officially handed over the new Mercedes?Benz minibusses to Manfred and Carsten Frank, the owners of the Omnibusverkehr-Reisen Frank & Stöckle bus company.
Manfred Frank said they want to offer their passengers “a full-fledged regular-service bus with all the comfort it entails.” The Sprinter City 75 minibus has a length of 8.5 m, allowing it to take on a total of 38 passengers. It has a wheelbase of 5095 mm, which forms the basis for the spacious low-floor area between the axles.
This allows the minibus to be equipped with folding seats, wheelchair and pushchair spaces, and standing spaces. In particular, the Frank & Stöckle bus company equipped the minibus with five folding seats, a wheelchair space, and standing spaces. Ceiling-mounted and vertical grab rails have also been integrated into the vehicle. The interior also comes with a destination display, as well as USB sockets both in the low-floor area and at the seats.
The driver’s area is equipped with a modern multifunction steering wheel, a PA system with gooseneck microphone, MBUX multimedia system with a high-resolution touchscreen, and an electronic roller sunblind. There are also separate climate controls for the driver’s area and the passenger’s area.
The Sprinter City 75 also comes with safety and driver assistance features such as Active Brake Assist, Headlamp Assist, and Crosswind Assist.
