Check Out the New Edo Competition Mercedes-AMG GT R

Edo Competition just unveiled its new project for the Mercedes-AMG GT R. The package fitted by the tuner gives the sports car a significant boost in its engine performance.

The Mercedes-AMG GT R was not called as the “Beast of Green Hell” for nothing. The aggressive looks of the car alone is enough to turn heads towards its direction while its power puts it on top of the road-legal standalone AMG models.

The Mercedes-AMG GT R packs a handcrafted AMG 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine. The unit produces 577 hp and 700 Nm of torque. Installing the new Edo Competition package for the vehicle will turn the numbers to 651 hp and 780 Nm of torque from 1,900 to 5,500 rpm.

A black-finished Mercedes-AMG GT R was used to highlight the Edo Competition package, which makes the auto appear more menacing in its styling. The form and handling of the car has also been improved, thanks to its lower suspension.

The tuner lowered the suspension of the Mercedes-AMG GT R to almost one-inch to the ground in its front end while the rear was taken 0.78-inches down. In addition, it could be seen that a new exhaust was equipped. It comes with a variable exhaust controller too.

The top speed of the Edo Competition Mercedes-AMG GT R is increased to 340 km/h. There was no mention about its new zero to 100 km/h acceleration. It should be noted that the stock version of the auto can cover that in 3.5 seconds, so expect some split-second increase with the tuning package.
