Mercedes-Benz C-Class Gets a Series of Updates

This month, Mercedes-Benz USA announced an array of updates for its various models. Among the cars affected are the 2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sedan and Cabriolet models.
According to the company, the major changes in the C300 and C300 4MATIC models of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class can be found in their transmission systems. From the 7-Speed transmission as a standard, the automaker now shifts to the new 9G-Tronic 9-Speed transmission. The improvement enhances the zero to 60 mph acceleration of the auto to 5.8 seconds.

The other notable updates in the C-Class Sedan include the standard 18-inch 5-spoke wheels, sliding sunroof, LED headlights for the C350e, optional heated steering wheel, standard extendable sun visors for the AMG variant, bootlid spoiler for the AMG version, AMG Track Pace App, 19-inch and 20-inch black wheels for AMG trim, AMG Performance Studio Package for the AMG C43, Burmester Surround Sound System for the AMG C43 and up, plus designo Iridium Silver Magno finish for the C63 and C63 S.
Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet
The Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet keeps the special features of its sedan counterpart but it ups the ante a bit with its new wood trim and standard sun visors. Together with the C300 Coupe model, the car is offered in standard 19-inch wheels. Furthermore, the interior of the convertible gets designo Selenite Grey Magno trim, Smartphone Integration Package, heated steering wheel for the AMG model, and Ocean Blue Edition for the AMG C63 S.
Cost
There are no pricing details available for the 2018 models of the C-Class yet. However, based on the current offerings of Mercedes, the sedan’s starting price is at $40,250 while the cabriolet is at $50,900.
