Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe Gets Mean Upgrade From Liberty Walk
Giancarlo Perlas June 9, 2017The Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe is already breathtaking with its sporty look and powerful engine. However, Japanese tuner Liberty Walk thought it could still benefit from a few upgrades. The result was a meaner look for the car.
The specialists of the Japanese firm gave the AMG C-Class Coupe a sleek blacked-out look. The dark finish is extended to the grille, mirror caps, door handles, exhaust tips, wheels and other exterior parts that used to be in chrome in the auto’s stock version.
New side splitters, side skirts, lip spoiler, wider side fenders and hood were installed in the car. Liberty Walk used carbon fiber materials for the upgrades to shed off some of the vehicle’s weight. Then the suspension of the C63 Coupe was lowered for better driving performance.
The changes were merely in the aesthetics of the auto. The whole carbon fiber kit costs $17,620. For customers who prefer the same kit in fiber-reinforced plastic, the price is lowered to $12,870. There is also an option for buyers to only avail the individual elements offered in the package for a reduced cost.
The package is available even to the sedan version of the C63. No changes were introduced by Liberty Walk to the 469 hp and 503 hp 4.0-liter V8 units of the C63 and C63 S.
The Liberty Walk Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe was showcased in the flesh during the Tokyo Auto Salon 2017. Check out the video of the car below, which was taken during its shoot in the outskirts of Nagoya, Japan:
