Mercedes-AMG unleashes its newest creation. Recently, the performance brand of Daimler released photos and information about the all-new Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC. According to the Global Media Site of Daimler, it is the first mid-size SUV produced by the Affalterbach-based factory.

The Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC houses a handcrafted 3.0-liter biturbo V6 engine. The engine, also found in the Mercedes-AMG C 43 Coupe and its Cabriolet version, certainly makes up for the power deficiency present in the standard GLC’s 2.1-liter diesel engine.

The power unit of the auto enables it to produce up to 367 hp and 520 Nm of torque. All that is distributed in the front and rear axles at a respective ratio of 31 to 69 through a dual-clutch 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission.

The acceleration of the auto from zero to 100 km/h is at 4.9 seconds. It’s just 0.2 seconds slower than the C 43 Coupe due to its bulkier body. Then its top speed can reach up to 250 km/h (electronically-limited).

Among the other features to look forward to in the SUV are the AMG Ride Control, AMG Dynamic Select, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with three stages, and a larger braking system. In addition, there are the usual sporty upgrades like the diamond radiator grille, changes in the apron, special exhaust tips, and 19-inch signature five-spoke light alloy wheels in high-gloss black combined with high sheen finish.

Lastly, going inside reveals upholstery either in ARTICO leather or DINAMICA microfibre, sports seat, red stitching, and AMG instrument cluster.
