What Happens to AMG Driving Academy Cars After Life on Tracks?

The AMG Driving Academy is the place you can turn to if you want to experience driving one of the high-performance cars of the three-pointed star brand. The academy also offers lessons for those who want to improve their driving skills. But what happens to the cars there when they are finally retired from the track?
According to a forum in MB World, cars used in AMG Driving Academy are brought back to Mercedes-Benz dealerships to be sold to potential customers. A forum member named betrezra, who is pictured above, exposed that Mercedes takes a great deal of effort in hiding the history of their cars when they are put back in dealerships. He claimed the 2014 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG he recently bought was from the academy. The person posted some pictures of his new auto to reinforce his claim.
In the photo below that he supplied the forum, there are noticeable traces of markings from the car’s old decals. Looking closely would reveal letterings that read “Continental Tires.”
Second, the slight color variation at the front bumper of car he brought had the same hue with the one he previously drove at the AMG Driving Academy. This led him to believe that the C63 AMG he just purchased was the same car that he drove months ago in the academy.
Third, when the forum member was cleaning the under carriage of the car moments after he first drove it home, he alleged he found several bits of rubber in that area and in between the wheels.
The customer said he bought the car at Mercedes-Benz of North Houston. However, he pointed out the dealer didn’t disclose that the product was from the AMG Driving Academy.
Now, there might be a problem with this scenario because AMG Driving Academy cars are intended to be used to the extreme, so let’s just hope he got a good price out of it. However, the buyer should have conducted a thorough check too before he brought the car. As the old saying goes, “caveat emptor.”
