Smart ForTwo Cabriolet Unveiled Through Photos

Introducing the ultra-compact Smart ForTwo Cabriolet.

The Smart ForTwo may not be within the level of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class or other models of the brand for that matter, but it seems to be joining the cabrio craze this month. This September, the compact car division of Daimler will be unveiling its Smart ForTwo Cabriolet.

The top-down smart car will make its debut alongside the more grand, heavily-hyped Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet. Then its sale will commence in February next year.

According to the press release of the company, the upcoming Smart ForTwo Cabriolet measures 2.69 meters long, 1.66 meters wide, and 1.55 meters high. The figures truly make the car an ideal ride when it comes to big cities plagued by traffic jams and tight parking areas.

Based on Daimler, the ForTwo convertible targets both the mind and the heart of customers. It follows the same purist and very progressive goal that has defined Smart over the years.

A significant update can be seen in the tridion cell safety cell of the car. The B-pillar has been made narrower than the roofed model of the compact auto in order to provide the cabrio a sportier and forward-focused appeal.

The reveal of the ForTwo convertible was preceded by a parade of smart cars at Hungaroring last week. It showed the ForTwo and ForFour models in different states of customization.
