RENNtech-Tuned Mercedes-Benz AMG GT Tops 313 Km/h
Peter Parcon May 25, 2015A new power package for the Mercedes-AMG GT is currently being developed by the RENNtech, as shown on a report from motorward.com. The results of the software upgrade provided by RENNtech for the AMG GT in the initial stage of the modification were rather impressive.
While the power package was developed in the Florida branch of the tuning company, the software upgrade was developed in Germany at the Autobahn and Nurburgring. The adjustments made in the United States increased the power output of the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine of the GT as it increased to 591 HP with a torque of 693 Nm.
RENNtech is known for being systematic when it tunes vehicles. While the initial upgrade provided by RENNtech for the AMG GT was mainly a software enhancement, the aftermarket tuning specialist tested the luxury sports car on the Autobahn on both the dyno and the drag strip. The next thing RENNtech is expected to provide the AMG GT is a sports exhaust system as well as a new styling kit.
The Mercedes-AMG GT tuned by RENNtech has a top speed of 313 km/h when it was tested on the Autobahn and was able to reach 128.11 mph within 11.28 seconds during its run on the drag strip.
