Cigarette Racing 50 Marauder GT S Concept Unveiled
Peter Parcon February 21, 2015A recent report from autoevolution.com revealed that Mercedes-AMG has unveiled the Cigarette Racing 50 Marauder GT S Concept together with Cigarette Racing during the Miami International Boat Show. The speed boat drew its inspiration form the Mercedes-AMG GT and was developed in collaboration with the high-performance speed boat manufacturer.
The high-performance vessel features the best twin engine offered by Cigarette Racing and uses the Mercedes-AMG GT S as its inspiration. Due to this, the boat was given the unique AMG Solarbeam color along with the matte black highlights of the luxury supercar. Two 1,550 HP Mercury racing V8 engines provides power to this magnificent fifty-foot sea vessel, which also features a lightweight construction that allowed it to become around 450 kilograms lighter than a similar conventional speed boat.
The unique powerboat is capable of reaching a top speed of up to around 135 mph or 217 km/h. The AMG design is also apparent throughout the entire vessel. The exterior has a black-colored hull featuring the AMG logo while its hand-finished interior combines black with the AMG Solarbeam color featuring black marine-grade Alcantara highlights.
While the classic cockpit of Cigarette Racing was also used as the inspiration for the interior, it offers a number of high tech features, including computer-based control, Bluetooth communication, Cigarette and Garmin navigation, high-resolution displays, and the latest audio system technology.
Cigarette Racing CEO and President Skip Braver said that their company is excited in its collaboration with the high-performance brand of Mercedes-Benz to design its fastest powerboat for the moment. The Cigarette Racing 50 Marauder GT S Concept exemplifies the commitment of their brand to craftsmanship and innovation as it features a brand-new Mercury racing engine that took its inspiration from AMG.
While the vessel is still considered a concept, the Cigarette Racing 50 Marauder GT S Concept will reportedly have a price tag of around $1.2 million.
