It remains uncertain if a Mercedes AMG GT Shooting Brake will ever be produced, as indicated on a gtspirit.com report. Despite this uncertainty, a shooting brake variant of the latest sports car offering of Mercedes-Benz was rendered recently.
A shooting brake is considered to be a car with perfect appeal, which makes it necessary for everything to convey conviction and accuracy. Since Mercedes-Benz already created the CLS Shooting Brake and a CLA Shooting Brake is expected to be unveiled next year, it is only rational to expect the luxury vehicle manufacturer to produce such a version for the AMG GT.
A number of industry watchers have indicated that producing a convertible variant of the sports car may discourage buyers from acquiring SL Roadster models. While it remains doubtful if this will happen, the rendering of Theophilus Chin certainly looks ideal to go up against the wide range of models offered in the Porsche 911 family.
It should also be taken into consideration that the AMG GT features two seats, which is similar to other cars considered to be rivals of the 911. Although a number of 911 owners may have no need for a back seat, it can be useful for a trip to the grocery.
