Consumer Reports gave negative comments while reviewing the Mercedes CLA, which went as far as calling it a “really nice Civic”.

Consumer Reports, a monthly publication that has been running since 1936 has recently published a review of the Mercedes CLA. The review wasn’t that kind to the best-selling car of the Mercedes-Benz brand.

“A Really Nice Civic”

According to Jalopnik, the publication operated by the Consumers Union actually dubbed the Mercedes CLA as a “really nice Civic”, which refers to the popular line of products of the Japanese manufacturer, Honda.

While we got nothing against, the Civic, and we think that it is a nice car, comparing it with a Mercedes-Benz car is a bit harsh. That’s because the two basically do not belong to the same market. The former is for the average earners in the market while the latter has a luxurious identity tied up to it.

The unforgiving review even went so far as recommend the Acura TSX wagon, BMW 320i and a used Audi A4 as alternatives to those who are looking to buy the Mercedes CLA.

The Mercedes CLA is the Most Powerful 4-Cylinder Engine Car in Production

The Mercedes CLA is actually the best car that its German manufacturer can offer at a $29,000 price tag, it may not be perfect but what makes it a best-seller is its power. The car is currently the most powerful four-cylinder engine vehicle in production. The auto’s 355 hp engine allows it to sprint from zero up to 60 mph in just a span of 4.2 seconds.
