Video Of 2014 Mercedes-Benz GLA Road Test Emerges
Peter Parcon December 19, 2012A video of a road test being conducted on the prototype for the 2014 Mercedes-Benz GLA emerged recently, giving enthusiasts an idea of what to expect from the upcoming entry-level crossover vehicle.
The upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLA will use the MLA platform of the company, the same one that supports the A-Class and B-Class model. Since it has a similar support as the A-Class and B-Class models, it is expected to feature an AMG engine that features a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbo-charged offering around 335 HP or 246 kW.
The GLA will feature a sporty design that is mainly inspired by the A-Class model. It may also come with a prominent front grille, tailgate-mounted spoiler, higher ride height, roof rails, and sweptback headlights. It is touted to go up against the BMW X1 when it enters the market.
The company is set to introduce the upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLA in the European market in the coming year. It is also expected to enter the US market by 2014.
