German car tuner, Brabus, has unveiled a new upgraded version of the Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 4MATIC+. The new Brabus Masterpiece promises the combination of “innovative design with consummate craftsmanship at the highest level of perfection.” The key highlights of the new tuning package include aerodynamic upgrades bringing about better drag for the car plus new suspension modifications and 22-inch wheels.
Here is a rundown of the key features of the new Brabus Masterpiece package based on the press release sent to us by the renowned Mercedes-Benz tuner:
Improved Aerodynamics for Increased Range
Brabus designers have developed sporty aerodynamic-enhancement components for the EV with elegant styling made from exposed carbon. This is crafted using a complex pre-reg process and is available in either gloss or matte finish.
Additionally, the new lip spoiler gives the front view of the EQS an even more distinctive profile. It also reduces drag and minimizes front-axle lift, contributing to improved handling stability at high speeds.
Moreover, the carbon trim for the side air intakes in the front fascia rounds off the exhilarating looks of the EQS and routes the airstream precisely to the coolers and front brakes. Meanwhile, the carbon air deflectors in front of the rear wheel arches not only upgrade the car’s appearance but it helps direct the airflow past the fender wells as well.
Lowered Suspension and Bigger Wheels for Enhanced Driving Dynamics
Brabus has also adds a tailor-made Monoblock “PLATINUM EDITION” forged wheels with diameters of up to 22 inches, available in various designs, to the AMG EQS 53. Then, the lowering kit of the Mercedes specialist complements the modifications in enhancing the handling of the EQS while leaving the ride quality untouched, contributing significantly to the optimized aerodynamic drag.
Performance Boost
Wind tunnel tests of the AMG EQS 53 equipped with Brabus’ signature 22-inch wheels showed that it improved the car’s Cd figure by a whopping 7.2 percent. This reduced the four-door’s total resistance, too, increasing the electric range at speeds between 100 and 140 km/h (62 and 87 mph) by 7.0 percent on average.
Exclusive Interior for Maximum Comfort and Individuality
The Brabus Masterpiece interior is crafted in the company’s upholstery shop and is tailored in accordance with the customer’s wishes in terms of color, design, and materials. It provides maximum comfort and individuality in every last detail, reflecting the brand’s commitment to providing the ultimate driving experience.
In its standard form, the seats of the Brabus Masterpiece-infused EQS are crafted with “Arrow Wave” quilting and precise perforations that add to the overall aesthetic appeal. The vehicle’s interior is clad in a combination of environmentally friendly, charcoal-colored leather and 100% vegan fabric that adorns several sections such as the door panels and dashboard.
Pricing and Availability
The Brabus Masterpiece based on the AMG EQS 53 pictured here sells for €251,654 (export price in Germany excluding 19 percent VAT).
Brabus: A Leader in Mercedes-Benz Refinement
Brabus has been refining Mercedes-Benz automobiles for more than 45 years and has worked with alternative drives since 2008. The company has a long-standing reputation for producing sporty-elegant designs that maximize aerodynamic function. In 1985, the company earned an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records when a Mercedes W 124 sedan with a Brabus aerodynamic-enhancement kit achieved a drag coefficient of Cd = 0.26, a record that remains unmatched by most cars today.
The new Brabus Masterpiece specially created for the Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 4MATIC+ brings the same level of innovative design and engineering excellence to the electric luxury sedan market. With its unique combination of improved aerodynamics, bigger wheels, and lowered suspension, it provides an exceptional driving experience for those seeking individuality and performance.
