The Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe is about to undergo a mid-cycle facelift. With that, it is expected to undergo subtle changes to its exterior, interior, and powertrain. Recently, a spy video surfaced showcasing the roadworthiness of the auto.
Design
The spied GLC Coupe has the same level of camouflage covering as the version we have been seeing so far in earlier spy shots. For the uninitiated, the wraps are normally used to conceal the areas under development in an upcoming car.
So, taking hints from these, the front fascia of the GLC Coupe is expected to receive a redesign with a slight revision on the front grille, bumper, and headlights. On the other hand, the hidden parts at the back indicate major updates coming into the liftgate, rear bumper, and taillights of the crossover.
Overall, these suggest that the styling of the facelifted GLC Coupe will be taking on a more aggressive and sportier route than the current model. According to Peter Kolb, head of development for Mercedes-Benz mid-size cars, the SUV will also get a 15 mm increase in its wheelbase.
The interior of the GLC Coupe is expected to receive key updates as well, including a larger infotainment screen and new technology features found in the new C-Class cars of the three-pointed star marque.
Powertrain
The facelifted GLC Coupe due this year is expected to keep the same trims offered by its predecessor. However, there are claims in the rumor mill that it’s about to get a hybrid model, too.
