The Mercedes-Benz CLA is getting a facelift. Based on sources, the refreshed model is set to debut in the middle of 2023. Recently, its Shooting Brake version was spied cruising on public road.
Despite the deceptive partial camo wrap of the car in the spy video of walkoART, the CLA Shooting Brake’s bumpers are clearly being redesigned. The covers on the lights in front and at the back also indicate major upgrades coming their way. Likewise, the rear hatch of the car notably appears with the zebra wrap bridging the taillights, too, which indicates that it is likely getting LED graphics there. The special gloss red paint finish as well as the subtle aerodynamic accents shown in the subtle front lip spoiler and rear roof spoiler, plus the addition of chunky brake calipers peeking on the sporty wheels all hint that what we are looking at here might be an AMG Line version of the auto.
Although the spy video does not offer us a peek at its interior, the facelifted CLA Shooting Brake will most probably get major upgrades there as shown by the latest facelifted models of Mercedes as of late. With that, the car will possibly get no less than the new interior design shown by the facelifted 2023 Mercedes-Benz B-Class featuring streamlined styling, including a redesigned seven-inch instrument cluster that may be upgraded to a 10.25-inch display and partnered to the standard 10.25-inch central display on the dashboard managed via a more advanced version of the MBUX infotainment system. Other changes may come in the multi-function steering wheel layout, turbine-inspired air conditioning vents, and ambient lighting graphics.
The facelifted CLA Shooting Brake is expected to offer some, if not all, of the trims found in the current CLA coupe. New mild-hybrid or even plug-in hybrid variants are a possibility as well, but these are matters of speculation as of now while we wait for more information from insiders, automotive spies, and official statements from Mercedes.
