The Mercedes-Benz GLE 400 is just a few steps away from the old Mercedes-AMG 43, yet, it doesn’t enjoy much attention as the cars of the three-pointed star brand. Recently, BS Teile unveiled its latest project for the SUV that turns it into a proper AMG.
The new tuning package of BS Teile is highlighted by the 100 hp boost that it provides to the GLE. The Stage One upgrade of the specialist turns the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine of the SUV from 329 hp to 420 hp. It should be noted that the stock torque of the auto is 354 lb-ft but there’s no mention from the tuner as to how much its performance kit added in this area. We suspect that it’s a significant increase though, judging the amount of ponies it added to the vehicle.
The power-up is complemented by a new front bumper with large air vents, a rear diffuser, and black, square-tipped, quadruple exhaust ports. To complete the AMG transformation of the vehicle, the package also turns all its chrome exterior parts into black, including the front grille, bumper strips, door handles, stepping boards, window panels, and wheels. Moreover, it gets BSTC-Performance letterings and bumper linings in Toxic Green for a sportier look.
Lastly, the GLE 400 is topped off with a set of 21-inch alloy AMG wheels featuring a cross-spoke design in black. The wheels are wrapped in 295/35ZR21 Pirelli Scorpion tires and managed via AMG-styled brake calipers with the same Toxic Green color giving a nice contrasting look against the black spokes.
