The Mercedes-Benz E-Class may not be the flagship car of its brand because that distinction belongs to the S-Class. However, it is nicely positioned just below the best Mercedes car out there, meaning buyers can get to enjoy some of the standard luxury goodies found in the more expensive Benz that’s packaged for a more affordable pricing. It serves as a nice middle ground for those who do not want to settle for the C-Class, yet find the S-Class too extravagant.
The facelifted version of the current E-Class just came out last year, so there is still a lot of time for it in the production line. However, a camouflaged prototype was recently spotted by YouTube’s walkoARTvideos spies, and there’s a good reason to believe that the car is the blueprint for its next-generation version.
The car in question is heavily wrapped in a zebra camo. Subtle hints like its form, size, and partially exposed areas indicate that it’s an E-Class though, considering its strong resemblance with the present one.
Looking closer, the spy video reveals exciting new details on the next-gen E-Class. One of the new features is the new set of headlamps that double as turn signals. The square dents on the bumper covers suggest the location of air inlets, too.
The rest of its design elements are hard to make out because of the very strict level of camo hiding even the car’s greenhouse. With that, we will definitely be on the lookout for some of the new information that will crop up in the near future about the next-gen E-Class.
Since the facelifted Mercedes-Benz E-Class just went on sale last year, this next-gen model will likely debut in late 2023 or even in the early months of 2024.
