Mercedes-Benz EQS Pricing Starts Around $125,000

Daimler just announced that orders for the Mercedes-Benz EQS have begun. The parent company of Mercedes confirmed that its pricing will start at €106,374.10 or $124,840 at current exchange rates.

The launch of the three-pointed star marque’s flagship electric vehicle marks the arrival of the EQS 450+ and the EQS 580 4MATIC trims. The introduction of the range is also highlighted by the limited Edition 1 model.

The EQS is powered by permanently excited synchronous motors (PSM). The EQS 450+ trim is capable of producing 245 kW (329 hp) and 568 Nm (419 lb-ft) of torque. Its power is focused on the rear wheels, and it pushes the car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.2 seconds. The auto also has a maximum energy recovery capacity of 186 kW.

Going for the EQS 580 4MATIC takes the output to 385 kW (516 hp) and 855 Nm (631 lb-ft) of torque. All that power is directed to an all-wheel-drive platform that lets the EV accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in only 4.3 seconds. Its energy recovery system is capable of storing up to 290 kW. The features take the price north of €135,529.10.

Both trims top at 210 km/h (130 mph), and they can store up to 200 kW in 31 minutes using a quick-charging station. Edition 1 adds an AMG Line package that includes an obsidian black finish, panoramic sunroof, special badges, design Nappa leather upholstery in neva gray and reflex blue, and 21-inch wheels. All these can be had for an extra €18,433.
