It was another breakthrough for Mercedes-Benz in the market in October 2016. Not only did the company display a two-digit growth, but it posted the highest number of units of luxury vehicles sold in the month of October.
Here is a breakdown of the performance of the three-pointed star brand last month:
Double-Digit Increase in Unit Sales
Mercedes sold 173,096 vehicles in October. The figures translate to an 11.5 percent increase compared to the same month of last year.
The good news does not stop there because the overall performance of Mercedes from January to October of this year was also impressive. In the first ten months of 2016, the company delivered a total of 1,711,017 vehicles to its customers. The numbers show an 11.7 percent rise from the same period in 2015.
Market Leader in Seven Key Markets
Mercedes led the race as the best-selling premium automaker in Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Japan, Taiwan and the USA.
In China, the company kept its strong momentum going with vehicle sales increase of 27.6 percent from 42,224 autos sold. The company also said that it sold more than 387,000 units in the region from the start of January to the end of October this year.
