A power package was unveiled recently by PP Performance for the Mercedes AMG GT S and C63 S, as indicated on a gtspirit.com report.
The 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine of both the AMG GT S and C63 S can produce 510 HP of power along with 516 lb-ft of torque. The chip tuning package offered by PP Performance increases the power output and torque of the engines of these two potent luxury vehicles.
For the AMG GT S, PP Performance was able to bring these figures up to 610 HP and565 lb-ft, respectively. This increase also shortened the acceleration time of the AMG GT S by 0.4 seconds as it is capable of racing from 0 to 100 km/h or 0 to 62 mph within 3.4 seconds. Its top speed also received a boost as the AMG GT S now has a top speed of 324 km/h or 201 mph from the standard 310 km/h or 193 mph. Installing an optional catless exhaust system and racing air filter can add another 33 HP to the Mercedes-AMG GT S.
On the other hand, the chip package offered by PP Performance increased the power and torque of the C63 S to 613 HP and 568 lb-ft, respectively. With the application of the power package, its 0 to 100 km/h or 0 to 62 mph acceleration was reduced to 3.59 seconds while its top speed increased to 307 km/h or 201 mph.
The chip tuning package offered by PP Performance for the Mercedes-AMG GT S and C63 S has a price tag of 2,899 Euros.
