Mercedes-Benz G-Class Gets Hand Painted

Handing over the keys of your Mercedes-Benz to someone outside your family and telling that person to “Do what you want with it,” might not always be a good idea. It’s like sitting on a barbershop chair and telling the barber to do whatever he wants with your hair. The most likely situation here is that the person might screw it up, but this story proves that risks might also pay off in a good way.

Connor Hoyle, a Newcastle-based businessman, did just that. He left the keys of his £130,000-worth Mercedes-Benz G-Class to a guy, and told him to do what he wants with it.

Fortunately, the guy whom Hoyle left the keys with was Ben Daye. For those who are unfamiliar with him, Daye is a Northern Quarter artist who has gained popularity with his works featured in Instagram under the name FromVirginiaBen.

Daye captured the attention of Hoyle through the customized Adidas trainers he did. Then the entrepreneur asked the street artist to give his G-Class a unique styling.

Daye worked on the vehicle for three days in his studio. After that, the result was more stunning than what he had done with the Adidas trainers. The artist made an abstract design on the hood and rear spare tire cap of the SUV using vibrant colors. The handmade street art customization certainly made the Mercedes stand out more through its refreshed and unique aura.

Daye said the G-Class was his biggest commission to date. He was more than happy with the results of his huge project. Currently, he is in negotiation with Nike for a possible collaboration in the future.
