The Legacy Edition of the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe is considered to be the last hurrah of the outgoing two-door C-Class of the three-pointed star brand. It should be noted that it will be replaced by the Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe, which is poised be unveiled in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
The Legacy Edition is characterized by its viper green paint. Then it gets the carbon rear wing found on the C63 AMG Coupe Black Series plus a set of 10-spoke alloy wheels specially-designed by Mercedes-AMG for the particular variant.
However, the most notable feature of the Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe Legacy Edition is its engine. Beneath the hood of the car is an impressive 6.2-liter naturally-aspirated V8 power unit. The hardware allows it to produce up to 510 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque. The power is distributed to the rear wheels via a seven-speed SPEEDSHIFT MCT transmission system. These factors enable the coupe to go from zero to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds.
The C63 AMG Coupe Legacy Edition is the last to carry the naturally-aspirated V8 of Mercedes. The upcoming model will already come with downsized 4.0-liter biturbo V8 with an output of 503 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque.
It is sad to say though that only 10 of these were produced. All 10 will only be offered in the South African market.
