The Red Pig, Mercedes-AMG GT S, and W04 Mercedes F1 car were in a handicap race in the 73rd Members’ Meeting at a Goodwood event.

The Mercedes F1 car, the W04 driven by the present World Champion Lewis Hamilton during his entry with Mercedes-AMG Petronas in 2013, made an appearance in the 73rd Members’ Meeting held at Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit. The race car didn’t only show off its amazing architecture, but it also competed against its fellow Mercedes cars in a handicap race.

The Mercedes F1 car was pitted against the Mercedes-Benz W190 300 SEL AMG, also known as the “Red Pig”. The classic auto is popular for finishing second in the 24 Hours of Spa back in 1971. The classic car was driven by the official driver of the Mercedes-Benz Museum and decorated racer, Jochen Mass.

Another car that competed in the handicap race was the Mercedes-AMG GT S. The newest sports car of the three-pointed star brand was driven by an ex-F1 driver Karl Wendlinger.

The Red Pig started first in the handicap race. It was followed by the Mercedes-AMG GT S 20 seconds later. After 40 seconds passed, the Mercedes F1 car driven by FIA World Endurance Champion Anthony Davidson proceeded.

Even with some mechanical hiccups in the F1 car’s timing, it shot pass the other two Mercedes cars and finished first in the checkered line.
