Mercedes-Benz USA managed to sell a total of 24,051 vehicles in February 2013, which translates to a considerable 22.2% increase over February 2012 numbers. That figure is good enough to be the best sales volume for the month for MB USA.

The year-to-date figures are 48,110 units sold so far in 2013, which represents a 16.2 increase over the same period last year (41,398 units).

According to MB USA CEO Steve Cannon, the company counts on continuing the momentum started in January this year in order to reach record Q1 figures. “The auto industry’s on the up and we’re ideally positioned to take advantage of the strengthening market,” Cannon said.

C-Class, E-Class, and GL-Class vehicles helped drive the record February sales figures, with the C-Class contributing 7,302 units to the number. The C-Class stands as the entry-level model range for Mercedes-Benz’s younger and first-time buyers. The E-Class, on its ninth generation, accounted for 4,211 units, while 2,800 GL-Class units were sold in February.

“With the strong product cadence we have mapped out for the year, we’ll continue bringing new buyers to Mercedes-Benz while offering an expanded palette for our existing owners.”

Mercedes-Benz’s high-end models also got improved sales figures, as the S-Class managed a 16.4% increase and the SL numbers increased by 353%, from 96 units in February 2012 to a whopping 435 units in February 2013.
