Giancarlo Perlas February 17, 2024Brabus just unveiled a new masterpiece that’s set to make its mark in the world of supercars: the Rocket 1000 based on the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance. This limited-edition model carries a power that’s fitting of its name, and it’s only limited to 25 units to ensure its exclusivity.
Power
The base Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance is already a formidable unit on its own, thanks to its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine partnered with an electric motor juiced up by a 4.8 kWh battery. The hybrid powertrain produces up to 831 hp and 1,082 lb-ft of torque. All that rushes to an all-wheel-drive system and is distributed via a nine-speed automatic transmission.
With the Brabus upgrade, the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance is transformed into a beast with 1,000 hp and 1,195 lb-ft of torque on its core. This feat was achieved by increasing its displacement to 4.5 liters.
The result of this match is a 0 to 62 mph acceleration in just 2.6 seconds and up to 186 mph in a mere 23.9 seconds. To ensure the mechanical integrity of the auto, the German tuner capped its max speed to 196 mph.
Design
There are only 25 samples of the Brabus Rocket 1000 that’s up for grabs with each vehicle serving as the pinnacle of its maker’s craftsmanship and innovation. Beyond its raw power, the car is a visual spectacle, featuring a carbon widebody that exudes an aura of strength and agility.
The exterior kit is complemented by Brabus’ signature Monoblock P hi-tech wheels measuring 10.5Jx21 at the front and size 12Jx22 on the rear axle. These are adorned with exposed-carbon aero discs and hugged by up to 335/25 ZR 22 tires from Continental.
The air of sportiness and sophistication extends to the interior where the cabin clad in Brabus Masterpiece elements welcomes occupants into a realm of ultra-luxury, meticulously designed and handcrafted to satisfy the most discerning tastes.
A Leap Toward Both Performance and Sustainability
The car’s hybrid strategy is not merely a nod to the evolving landscape of automotive design but a leap forward, merging high-performance engineering with sustainable driving solutions. Through extensive testing and development, Brabus ensures that this supercar not only meets but exceeds the stringent Euro 6D ISC-FCM emission standards, making the Rocket 1000 a beacon of high-performance sustainability.
In a world where exclusivity and performance dictate prestige, the Brabus Rocket 1000 “1 of 25” stands at the apex. Combining breathtaking speed with environmental considerations, wrapped in a package of unparalleled luxury, this supercar is not just a vehicle; it’s a statement and a testament to the relentless pursuit of perfection that defines the prestigious Mercedes tuner.
