Mercedes-Benz Vans To Roll Updated Mid-Size Segment In January 2024

The company’s revamped business strategy is reflected in its upcoming midsize van series, combining new design elements, intelligent connectivity options, advanced driver assistance systems, and more.
Cosmetic Overhaul
The midsize van series of Mercedes-Benz, including models like the Vito, V-Class, and EQV, is set to receive a significant aesthetic overhaul. The exterior and cockpit designs are being updated to provide a distinctive visual appeal within their respective segments.
The notable changes coming next month include a prominent grille, elegantly designed adaptive Multibeam LED headlights, and a new chrome trim with Mercedes-Benz lettering at the rear. Inside, customers can expect a wide-screen cockpit with dual 12.3-inch displays for the EQV, V-Class, and V-Class Marco Polo, while the eVito and Vito feature an intuitive 10.25-inch central display.
Elevated Comfort and Functionality
Mercedes-Benz Vans is introducing a new level of comfort and functionality across its midsize van lineup. The addition of the Keyless start function, optional steering-wheel heating, and ambient lighting with 64 colors aim to enhance the overall driving experience.
The V-Class and EQV now come with a standard sliding door on the left-hand side for more convenient access to the rear. For commercial models, the electric Easy-Pack tailgate is available for the Vito Tourer, Mixto, and eVito Tourer, facilitating convenient loading and unloading.
MBUX Multimedia System Upgrade
The midsize van portfolio is stepping up with the integration of the latest generation of the MBUX (Mercedes Benz User Experience) multimedia system. This marks a first-time for Vito and eVito to provide customers with a better digital and interactive experience.
Drivers of the EQV, V-Class, and V-Class Marco Polo benefit from additional functions such as Energizing comfort control. The MBUX, in conjunction with a Mercedes me account, offers a wide range of digital extras, from maintenance and accident management to remote services via the Mercedes me app.
Intelligent Connectivity and Driver Assistance
The midsize van lineup is also gearing up for new intelligent connectivity and advanced driver assistance systems. The MBUX, coupled with a Mercedes me account, provides a suite of digital add-ons that include navigation with live traffic information and car-to-x communication.
The driver assistance systems consisting of Active Brake Assist with an intersection function, Blind Spot Assist, and Intelligent Speed Assist, ensure a safer driving experience. More features such as the adaptive Multibeam LED headlights with Highbeam Assist Plus and the new parking package with a 360-degree camera are available for extra convenience.
Diverse Powertrains for Mercedes-Benz Vans
Customers will have a diverse range of drive systems to choose from, catering to different preferences and ESG considerations. The all-electric EQV and eVito Tourer models offer two battery sizes (90 and 60 kWh) with a peak output of 150 kW (204 PS).
The eVito panel van, equipped with a 60 kWh battery, boasts a peak output of 85 kW (116 PS). The electric models can charge with alternating current (AC) at home or public stations with up to 11 kW, and fast-charging stations with up to 110 kW (EQV, eVito Tourer) or 80 kW (eVito panel van) as standard.
Revamped Midsize Mercedes-Benz Vans Market Launch
Mercedes-Benz Vans is set to launch the upgraded midsize van lineup with significantly enhanced standard equipment and simplified equipment packages. This comprehensive upgrade aims to streamline the selection process for customers by grouping frequently purchased functional equipment together in packages, reducing the time spent choosing individual options.
The starting prices for the refreshed line range from €46,000 to €80,000.
