With six charging points, each featuring a single port to optimize energy efficiency, specific electric vehicle models can charge from 10% to 80% in less than 20 minutes.
A Vision for Global Expansion
Mercedes-Benz has set an ambitious goal of establishing more than 2,000 charging stations globally, equipped with over 10,000 fast-charging points by the end of the decade. The Mannheim Charging Hub is the fourth station globally, following inaugurations in Atlanta (USA), Chengdu (China), and Foshan (China).
The company plans further expansions with new stations slated for launch in the U.S. and China by year-end and in Italy, Spain, and France from 2024.
A Strategic Partnership with E.ON
Ensuring a seamless and premier charging experience, the three-pointed star marque has forged a strategic partnership with E.ON, which is a renowned energy and mobility expert. The automaker’s tech and logistical partner will play an essential role in constructing, operating, and maintaining Mercedes-Benz Charging Hubs in Europe. It also offers vital support in site selection and planning.
The collaboration extends to smart solutions, including predictive maintenance using artificial intelligence (AI), underscoring a commitment to sustainability.
Advantages for Mercedes-Benz Customers
