Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 to Get Revitalized by a Facelift

Giancarlo Perlas September 4, 2022

The Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 is about to get revitalized through a facelift as suggested by new spy shots of the auto. The interior is expected to gain significant updates, too.

The GLB family was only introduced in 2019, but it is now getting refreshed through a series of updates. Based on the new spy shots by Motor1, the auto is taking a new fascia design.

The positioning of the zebra-patterned camouflage in front suggests that the crossover will have redesigned front bumper featuring a new layout on its air inlets and radiator grille panel. The headlamps appear to be getting a bubbly profile, too, if the other facelifted SUV models of its maker are an indication.

Going around, the covered areas also hint that it will get new taillight graphics. The strip of camo bridging the rear lamps may mean a LED strip going across the liftgate as well.

Overall, the changes outside are not too much in a way that it still retains the key styling elements of the GLB which make it appealing to buyers. However, the same cannot be said for its cabin. Although not shown in the images, the interior is anticipated to get a major upgrade, especially in its onboard tech.

Likewise, the powertrain will probably remain the same. Should it get a bit of a reconfiguration, it may not be in a major way. As a recap, the current version of the AMG GLB 35 is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo inline-four capable of up to 302 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, which is already a lot in today’s SUV standards.
