Mansory Spices Up the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren

Giancarlo Perlas July 27, 2020

If there’s one thing we have learned from Mansory over the years is that the company is sort of a hit or miss affair when it comes to customizing the look of Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Recently, it did something right with the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren when it gave it an all-black look and a couple of cosmetic upgrades that put the Batmobile to shame.

The modified car in the photos here was seen at Baan Twente in the Netherlands with a price tag of 290,000 euros or around $341,000 based on current conversion rates, and it only has 21,343 miles on the clock. What makes it very special, other than the fact that it is just one of the 2,157 units made by Mercedes, is its Renovation body kit from Mansory.

The SLR McLaren here is one of the few that Mansory gave a dark menacing aura with its Crystal Galaxite black metallic finish. It also features an extended nose, carbon-fiber hood, aggressive rear bumper, rear diffuser, rear spoiler, and 21-inch wheels.

Lifting the doors of the SLR McLaren activates the LED lights mounted on the side air ducts. It reveals a darkened interior in Alcantara with contrasting stitching and bluish hue in the lighting and speedometer.

To top it all off, the 5.4-liter supercharged V8 engine of the SLR McLaren that originally produces 617 hp is tuned to peak at 700 hp.
