The Mercedes-AMG GLC43 sport utility vehicle and coupe just arrived. The models are now sporting a fresh look, equipped with more advanced technology and possessing a little power boost.
The AMG GLC43 trim may be sitting below the Mercedes-AMG GLC63, but Mercedes certainly didn’t hold back with its array of neat features. Here are the top four selling points of the new AMG GLC43 SUV and Coupe:
Engine
The AMG GLC43 SUV and Coupe are fitted with a 3.0-liter biturbo V6 engine producing 390 hp (23 hp up from the previous model) and 520 Nm of torque. The power is directed to an all-wheel-drive system and distributed via a nine-speed automatic transmission.
The configuration allows the vehicles to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds, and they are capable of reaching an electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h.
Tech
The performance of the AMG GLC43 models are complemented by their five drive programs namely the “Slippery”, “Comfort”, “Sport”, “Sport+”, and “Individual”. The selection controls the engine response, transmission, suspension and steering in order to adjust to the user’s preferred efficiency, handling, comfort and other driving requirements.
The other notable tech found within the vehicles include the standard AMG Ride Control+ for their damping system, AMG speed-sensitive steering within the AMG Dynamics system that offers a more precise feedback in the steering, large digital displays, and the MBUX intelligent multimedia system featuring voice controls.
Exterior
The AMG GLC43 units adopted Mercedes high-performance division’s Panamericana front grille and new LED lights. Each has quadruple round exhausts that separate it from the AMG GLC63’s trapezoidal end pipes, and new set of light-alloy wheels measuring 19 (standard) to 21 (optional) inches.
The cosmetic changes may be subtle but Mercedes certainly did a great job in giving both a fresher look that make them stand out from their models in the previous year.
Interior
The cabins of the AMG GLC43 SUV and Coupe are highlighted by their sports seats in black Artico man-made eather/Dinamica microfiber with red stitching. Aluminum accents provide highlights to the controls, air vents, steering wheel, foot pedals and other important elements in the vehicles’ interiors.
