They are sexy as well as sporty; here comes the Mercedes-AMG CLA45 and CLA45 S Shooting Brake models! It’s not just about the looks too; the cars also boast powerful outputs and state-of-the-art equipment.

Daimler said that the athletic builds of the AMG CLA45 and CLA45 S Shooting Brake are intended for the younger generation of buyers who are both active in their work and leisure time. Basically, the CLA is just a notch up from the A-Class, but there are many things that make it better than its more compact sibling.

If you want to know more about the AMG CLA45 and CLA45 S Shooting Brake, here their top 4 selling points:

1. Stylish Exterior

Like the coupe version of the AMG CLA, the Shooting Brake units feature a reinforced body shell. The cars have beautifully sculpted panels that do not only give them a clean and smooth look, but the carefully-engineered dents also help the aerodynamics of the units.

The Shooting Brake shares the same front as the Coupe, but the portions from pillar B going to the rear adopts the design of an estate. The AMG CLA45 and CLA45 S Shooting Brake showcase a Panamericana front grille, narrow LED lights, front lip spoiler, front bumper with wide air ducts, rear diffuser, quadruple rounded-tipped tailpipes, and sports wheels.

2. Motorsport-Inspired Interior

The upholstery of the vehicles makes use of black Artico man-made leather and Dinamica microfiber materials with contrasting red stitching and aluminum accents. Basically, everything from the AMG A45 and A45 S has been carried over to the AMG CLA45 and CLA45 S Shooting Brake such as the multi-function steering wheel, turbine-looking air vents, large displays, and central touch console. However, the high-performance CLA beats the A-Class when it comes to luggage capacity because of its 505-liter boot.

3. Advanced Tech

All the standard equipment found in the CLA can be found in the AMG CLA Shooting Brake including the MBUX infotainment system with voice controls and driver assistance systems. The AMG CLA45 S Shooting Brake, however, gets the Drift Mode as a standard tech. As its name implies, the program makes it easier and safer for the car to do sideways action during bends on the road, especially at high speeds.

4. Compact but Powerful Engine

The AMG CLA45 and CLA45 S Shooting Brake share the same outputs provided by the AMG A45 and A45 S, respectively. The cars possess a 2.0-liter inline-four engine that produces 387 hp and 480 Nm of torque for the CLA45 Shooting Brake, and 421 hp and 500 Nm of torque for the CLA45 S Shooting Brake. An eight-speed automatic transmission helps in distributing power to the vehicles’ all-wheel-drive system.

The setup allows acceleration from 0-100 km/h in only 4.1 seconds and 4 seconds for the CLA45 and CLA45 S Shooting Brake, respectively. Meanwhile, the top speeds of the cars are at 250 km/h and 270 km/h, correspondingly.
