Topcar Teases the Off-Road Version of the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe

Giancarlo Perlas June 19, 2019

Are you one of the people who were disappointed when Mercedes-Benz didn’t go yet for the rugged version of the GLB compact sport utility vehicle? If you are, then the Inferno 4×4² based on the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe might be the one you are looking for.

Just like the other Inferno packages of the famous tuner, this one offers extensive modifications to the body of the GLE Coupe. The early version of the Inferno 4×4² had its radiator grille removed making room for the front plate number. Meanwhile, the front bumper is replaced by a broader variant with LED lights on the bottom corners. A brush bar complete with winch is also positioned in front.

A roof rack lined with LED lights is installed on top and it gets new running boards on the sides too. Going around the back reveals a large bumper plus a huge spare wheel carrier as well. In addition, chunky wheels with off-road tires are installed on the auto.

Final version of the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe Inferno 4×4².

According to the tuner, what we are looking at is still a work in progress. A sketch of the GLE Coupe Inferno 4×4²’s final build shows that it is yet to receive more mods. It includes a front grille with the Topcar logo on the center and additional circular LED lights on each side. Furthermore, a redesigned hood and extended wheel arches are planned.

The tuner is still mum on the mechanical specs of the auto. However, even without an upgrade, the most potent form of the crossover in the form of the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe comes with a 5.5-liter biturbo V8 engine capable of delivering up to 585 hp and 760 Nm of torque.

We will keep everyone updated about the project as developments come. For now, enjoy the awesome photos of the new off-road Topcar Mercedes GLE Coupe Inferno 4×4² in the gallery below.
