The Mercedes-Benz X350d Edition 1 is Out

Giancarlo Perlas May 6, 2019

Mercedes-Benz just rolled out the special model of its pickup truck. It’s called the Mercedes-Benz X350d 4MATIC Edition 1. The vehicle stands out from the standard version of the X-Class with its added accessories that subtly improve its visuals.

Exterior

The Mercedes-Benz X350d Edition 1 features an exterior paint in “kabara black”. Even the radiator grille and three-pointed star logo have been given a blacked-out look.

Adding to the dark persona of the pickup are the black bumpers, handles, fog light encasing, side mirror caps, roof rails, side sills and bed bars. In addition, the protective paint for the rear bed and the hard tonneu cover are in black too. These are complemented by a set of black 19-inch wheels as well as “Edition 1” letterings in the rear and on the sides.

It should be noted though that the X350d Edition 1 comes in three colors. Aside from the black paint, buyers can have it in “bering white” or “rock grey”.

Interior

Going inside reveals a set of leather seats, Edition 1 embroidery and chrome badge. The back also benefits from a privacy glass and electric rear window.

Powertrain

The same engine found in the standard X350d rests beneath the hood of its Edition 1 version. It is equipped with a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V6 engine that produces 190 kW and 550 Nm of torque. The unit is mated to a 7G-Tronic seven-speed torque-converter automatic transmission that distributes the power to an all-wheel-drive system. With that, expect its 0-100 km/h to remain at 7.9 seconds like the ordinary X350d.

Release

The Mercedes-Benz X350d 4MATIC Edition 1 will be available in the Australian market by July 2019. The pricing of the auto is 87,500 AUD, excluding the destination charges. We are not sure yet if the other key markets of Mercedes will get the special edition model.
