Mercedes-AMG C43 Boosted to 460 HP

Giancarlo Perlas March 27, 2019

The Mercedes-AMG C43 just debuted a little over a year ago. However, the tuners at Performmaster High Performance have already successfully developed a new kit for the sedan. The package raises its power and gives it a new look.

Engine

The AMG C43 is equipped with a 3.0-liter biturbo V6 engine. The unit produces 385 hp and 384 lb-ft of torque. The power is distributed to an all-wheel-drive system via a 9G automatic transmission. However, thanks to the signature control chip of Performmaster, the figures go up to 460 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque according to FormaCar.

The tuner hasn’t revealed the 0-60 mph sprint of the tuned AMG C43 but the unadulterated engine of the sedan can achieve that feat in just 4.5 seconds. Therefore, there should be a slight improvement in that department considering its 75 hp and 66 lb-ft of torque boost. What the specialist mentioned though is that they have removed the electronic speed cap of the auto, which is formerly at 177 mph.

Appearance

Performmaster complements the speed gains with a new look for the AMG C43. The optional add-ons that make the car appear more aggressive are its new side flaps on the front bumper, Panamericana grille replacing the single bar in front and aerodynamic components in the rear. The tuner also gives the vehicle a lower stance to improve its handling and style.
